strategic marketing lead

we’re not looking for someone who can just write copy. chatgpt can do that… we’re looking for someone who thinks like a strategist and writes like a pro. someone who can see the whole funnel, understand the psychology behind every click on every page, and deliver words that move people to action.
about the role
this is a hybrid role that blends strategic marketing thinking with deep copywriting craft. your mission is to own the words and the why behind them, as well as the results that come from those words (which is obviously dollars and cents). you’ll be responsible for turning insight into action through lead magnets, landing pages, ads, emails, and more - all with performance outcomes in mind.
you’re not being hired to be told what to write. you're being hired because you already know what needs to be said.
copy execution
lead magnets: produce at least 1 new micro magnet per month with complete copy components which include video and ad scripts, lander copy, email sequences, etc (the full end-to-end rollout).
ads: write compelling ad copy for multiple variations (hooks, body, headlines) suited for paid channels and aligned with campaign goals (for existing high performing lead magnets).
emails: create daily list emails and automated sequences that nurture, convert, and maintain deliverability standards. responsible for full copy strategy, not just text. also monthly email offers to get prospects to buy including new micro magnet launches and online workshops.
lander & funnel pages: write high-converting copy for every page and step that aligns with lead magnets and ad campaigns. responsible for messaging clarity, structure, and performance-driving language from headline to call-to-action. must be focused on every page’s conversion ownership and continuous improvement.
social strategy and tactics: organic social content and strategy which includes monthly ideation meetings, hooks, body, and call to action strategically created for every single video.
kpi ownership & performance mindset
data-driven execution: track and iterate based on performance metrics like lead cost, booked call cost, new member cost, overall lead quality, click-throughs, email deliverability (email open and click rates, replies, etc.) and conversion rates… without being micromanaged… the data will be yours to own and manipulate strategy to improve all performance metrics on an ongoing basis
problem-solving focus: own content-related bottlenecks (e.g., weak booking pages, low ad engagement, high opens but low clicks) and you bring proactive solutions before we even mention it.
accountable to targets: for example, reducing cpl from $x to $y, reducing cac from $b to $a, etc, through smarter copy, sharper positioning, and more effective conversion flows.
team collaboration: working directly with project managers, video editors, graphic designers, and any other team members related to the performance of this department.
ai-native workflows & other resources
confidently use tools like chatgpt and build custom gpt’s to enhance ideation, scale execution, and speed up testing cycles, without relying solely on manual drafting. it’s not 1999 anymore…
ai supports your process, but you’re ultimately responsible for the thinking and quality behind what’s produced.
integrate taki moore’s trainings and education as a foundation of our marketing.
integrate sean ferres’s copywriting course as a foundation of your direct response copy and conversion skills.
who you are
a strategic thinker who writes with intention. every word is part of a bigger conversion system. you know this already…
obsessed with understanding the customer (better than the founder). what they want, fear, crave, and must hear to click, opt in, buy.
data-aware, performance-oriented. you want to see the numbers behind the story. this is not new, it’s inherent in your current process of understanding performance.
fast but thoughtful. you don’t need a 2-week brief to write something brilliant, with tools today even 20 minutes can produce a lot.
experienced with ai tools, but grounded in human insight.
an independent collaborator at heart. we understand the dichotomy of that, but you are highly skilled and independent, and recognise that collaborating with the founder and rest of the team is required to force the best results so we can win.
you care about brand voice and conversion in equal measure.
have experience building funnels and understands cro.
have worked in performance marketing, coaching, education, or high-ticket services.
who this role is not for
someone who needs step-by-step instructions on every little micro-input before getting started
someone who only wants to write when the creative spark hits
someone who doesn't obsess over why people click, convert, or ignore and have the skills and ability to solve most problems independently
someone who can’t handle the strategic input of the founder to dial in better performance across the board
someone who needs to ice bath before writing their first word
how to apply
send us a sample of something you’ve written that converted. could be a lead magnet, an ad campaign, or an email sequence. what the data was, and why did it convert? list the reasons why behind the outcome. also tell us:
what’s the most underrated skill in copywriting today?
what ai tools do you use in your writing process and why?
