Our client is seeking an experienced AML/CTF Compliance professional to build and lead a newly created central compliance function. This is a unique opportunity to shape the AML/CTF compliance agenda from the ground up, reporting into the General Counsel and working closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, and IT.

The Opportunity

This newly created Manager – AML/CTF Compliance role offers the chance to develop and lead a centralised AML/CTF function for a well-regarded firm at the forefront of operational and regulatory excellence. You'll take ownership of implementing the firm’s AML/CTF Compliance Program in line with incoming Tranche 2 reforms, lead the implementation of AML/KYC technology solutions, and build a team to deliver firm-wide support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and rollout of the firm’s AML/CTF Compliance Program and supporting frameworks
• Collaborate with IT to scope and deliver AML/KYC technology solutions
• Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing AML/KYC operations team
• Provide expert AML/CTF advisory support to partners, lawyers, and corporate functions
• Deliver internal training and uplift awareness of AML obligations and KYC standards
• Embed a culture of compliance and service excellence across the practice

What We’re Looking For
We're looking to connect with candidates who have:

• Strong AML/CTF compliance experience, ideally within legal, professional services, or financial services
• A background in compliance, risk, or legal functions
• A track record of building or leading teams and functions
• Deep understanding of Australia's AML/CTF regime and regulatory landscape
• Confidence working across senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities
