This company are a distinguished design and construct hydraulic services company founded in 2015. Their commitment to excellence and client relationships has driven their success, enabling them to expand their team to over 50 dedicated professionals. As part of the company growth, they have launched a Civil Construction business and are on a journey to become a reputable Civil Contractor, delivering projects up to $15m. With this strategic growth phase underway, we’re looking for a Civil Estimator to join the ranks!

The Role

• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct material, labour, and equipment take-offs using relevant estimation software.
• Prepare and submit tender documents in coordination with project managers and clients.
• Request and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify and quantify risks, proposing contingencies as necessary.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of historical cost data, pricing trends, and market rates.
• Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and scope review sessions.
• Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking during project execution.

The Person

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in civil estimating or a related construction field.
• Prior experience working within a T2/T3 Civil Contractor highly regarded
• Proficiency in estimation software
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience with infrastructure projects such as highways, pipelines, or utilities.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and procurement practices.
• High level of integrity, energy and enthusiasm
• Drive to develop, learn and grow your expertise as an Estimator
