Position Title: Estimator

Location: Brisbane

Salary: $130K – $150K + Super (depending on experience)

About the Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects across commercial fitouts. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver cost plans that are competitive, realistic, and aligned with project quality standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project documentation to develop a deep understanding of scope and cost implications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across fitout projects (ranging from $300K – $20M+).
• Identify cost factors including labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor pricing, and project duration.
• Source and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing; ensure compliance with scope and company standards.
• Coordinate with the design and delivery teams during pre-construction to ensure accurate costing and alignment with client expectations.
• Conduct and lead project handover meetings with delivery teams, ensuring a clear understanding of tender scope, cost breakdowns, and key project deliverables.
• Ensure tender timelines and submission milestones are consistently met.
• Represent the business professionally when liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Estimator role within commercial construction, fitout, or multi-residential sectors.
• Proven experience estimating projects ranging from $300K to $20M+.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodology, materials, and cost structures.
• Experience using estimating software such as Cubit, Buildsoft, or Nexvia (highly desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
