The Position
The position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Facilities Team, SSC in the delivery of the maintenance, capital and asset management programs.
Key Tasks
Provide quality and timely administrative support to the Facilities Team including preparing reports, tenders, scope of works, offer analysis documentation and general correspondence, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and records management.
Coordinate and administer the management of SSC’s assets including registering, transferring and disposing of assets and conducting periodical stocktakes.
Assist with the delivery of SSC’s maintenance and capital works programs including budget development, developing scope of works, procurement, and administering Stadiums Queensland’s asset management system (Tech One) to raise and close out work orders, attach service sheets, register assets and update maintenance schedules.
Facilitate contractor inductions, site access, permits, receipt of contractor risk assessments and general contractor supervision.
Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with SQ’s policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of workplace health and safety, security management, equal employment opportunity, workplace harassment, bullying and discrimination
About You
Minimum 2 years’ experience providing facilities management, operational or administrative support
Administrative experience, computer literacy and the ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritise large volumes of tasks
Ability to acquire Working with Children Check – Blue Card (if requested)

About the venue
The SSC is a centre of excellence for high performance training and competition sporting programs,
including the development of future elite athletes. Located at Chandler in Brisbane, the venue is a training base for Australia’s high-performance athletes for swimming, diving, and aerial and mogul skiers, as well as Queensland’s elite and development athletes in sports including swimming, diving, gymnastics, BMX, track cycling, water polo, artistic swimming, basketball and weightlifting.
SSC hosts international, national and state events and caters for a wide variety of aquatic and fitness activities, learn to swim programs, community sports, recreation and cultural events.
The precinct encompasses the Brisbane Aquatic Centre including the Geoff Henke Winter Olympic Training Centre and Diving Australia’s High Performance dry dive centre, Anna Meares Velodrome, Brisbane SX International BMX Centre, Chandler Arena, Chandler Theatre, Queensland State Gymnastics Training Centre and Chandler Lodge and Cabins which provide short-stay accommodation facilities.

About Stadiums Queensland
Stadiums Queensland is a statutory authority which manages, operates and promotes the use of the State’s major sport, entertainment and recreation facilities on behalf of the Queensland Government.
Stadiums Queensland is overseen by a Board of Directors and began operations on 21 December 2001, under the Major Sports Facilities Act 2001.
