About the Role:

We’re looking for a responsible, proactive, and detail-focused Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our transport fleet and ensure safety compliance across the board.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and has a background in fleet coordination, safety management, or rideshare operations. You’ll take ownership of live fleet supervision, driver performance, safety systems, and customer service backup when required.

What You’ll Do:

1. Fleet & Operations Supervision

Oversee daily driver scheduling and vehicle dispatch

Monitor real-time GPS activity from 8:30 AM to 12:30 AM (onsite + remote)

Respond to incidents, provide remote support, and log issues accurately

Ensure drivers follow assigned routes, safety standards, and working hour limits

Produce weekly/monthly reports and recommend performance improvements

2. Safety Management System (SMS)

Develop and implement a compliant SMS for rideshare operations

Conduct on-ground vehicle and driver checks (signage, insurance, licensing)

Train drivers in road safety, customer interaction, and emergency handling

Monitor fatigue and respond to reportable safety incidents

Liaise with external authorities where required

3. Backup: Customer Service Support

Step in for CS Team Leader during urgent cases

Investigate complaints and ensure quality service delivery

Assist in training drivers on service expectations and communication skills

Targets & KPIs Include:

Real-time monitoring of 100% active drivers during scheduled hours

100% of serious incidents documented and reported within 12 hours

All drivers trained in SMS compliance within 30 days of onboarding

No more than 3 unresolved customer complaints per week during backup shifts

Weekly reports submitted before 10 AM every Monday

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree (any field)

2+ years in transport supervision, rideshare, or delivery operations

Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations

Confident in using GPS platforms, Excel, and communication tools

Experience in safety systems or compliance processes is a bonus

Valid Australian work rights and driver’s license

Role Requirements:

Must reside in Newcastle or surrounding suburbs

Australian citizenship required

Must pass a criminal background check

Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays (when needed)
