We have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Development Team Leader to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As Creative Development Team Leader, you will coordinate and support the delivery of creative programs and signature arts festivals that connect and inspire. Collaborating with the Creative Life festival and programming team and creative partners across the region. You will foster meaningful partnerships, guide program development, and ensure inclusive, high-quality outcomes. This role suits someone who leads through collaboration - balancing creative insight with strategic thinking and enabling others to shine. You will shape a vibrant, evolving creative calendar that reflects the diversity, talent, and cultural energy of Cairns and its surrounding communities.

What We Are Looking For:

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or demonstrated experience and significant achievement in creative programming and arts sector development.

Proven experience in leading cultural programming, festivals, or large-scale arts initiatives.

Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and partnerships.

Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and operational management within an arts and culture setting.

Successful experience in producing and managing diverse arts and events presentations, particularly in contemporary arts and arts sector development.

Proven ability to liaise and negotiate with all levels of Government, the Corporate Sector, the Arts Sector and individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
