In a nutshell, we need a experienced electrical fitter who loves working with their hands; and has a knack for building, testing, and fault-finding electrical equipment.

Duties include layout, fabrication and assembly for a broad range of electrical equipment, such as battery chargers, power supplies, UPS systems, cathodic protection units, filters, relays and more; for both AC and DC applications. You will also work on repairs and fault finding of electrical equipment, as well as factory acceptance testing of new and existing products.

Resonsibilities:

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in the following areas:

Proficient assembly and fitting of switchgear and controlgear, wiring looms, and busbar for electrical equipment.

Skilled assembly of control panels and meter boards.

Effective mounting of components and mastery in control wiring.

Experience with cutting and punching tools for installing meters, switches and ventilation in electrical enclosures.

Comprehensive knowledge of electrical standards and the ability to interpret electrical schematic/control wiring diagrams.

Ability to fault find electrical circuits

Proficient in basic electrical calculations, such as ohms law.

Able to work to a production schedules and meet manufacturing quota

Qualifications & Experience

Current QLD Electrical Work License - Electrical Fitter and or Fitter/Mechanic (a restricted electrical ticket may also be considered)

Previous experience in general manufacturing or switchboard manufacturing is highly preferable.

Full unrestricted working rights to Australia and New Zealand are required

Compensation & Benefits

The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous workmanship, a solid understanding on electrical fundamentals, and an ability to keep pace with manufacturing deadlines. Remuneration for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per annum. Salary is negotiable in-line with ability and/or experience. This is a Monday to Friday position, with factory hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm (Mon-Thurs) and 7:00am – 1:00pm on Friday.
