WHO WE ARE

LGI is a specialist business in landfill gas management and renewable energy generation. Our core business is to extract the biogas that's produced in landfills, and treat it in flaring units (to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions) or gas engines (to produce renewable electricity).

We manufacture much of the equipment we use to treat the biogas, including flaring units. We own and operate construction equipment to drill wells and install pipework in landfills. We build, own and operate renewable energy facilities on landfills. We currently operate, maintain, monitor, repair, and expand landfill gas systems across 25 landfill sites in QLD, NSW and the ACT. Our team of 50+ includes skilled trades, specialist engineers, machine operators, early career technicians, and more.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who works well as part of a team, wants to learn and grow professionally, and likes a challenge. We need someone to help keep our landfill gas engines (generators) and flaring units well maintained and operating smoothly. We want someone who works safely.

This is a hands-on role in daily operations and maintenance of LGI's engine and flaring assets in Brisbane and intrastate and some travel required to our interstate sites NSW/ACT. Regular rostered 24-hour on-call duties is part of your role. You might also help build new power generation and flaring projects, and upgrade existing projects. We have a lot of projects and we operate in a complex space, so plans and priorities can change quickly - our people have to be flexible and adaptable. We're a growing business with exciting opportunities.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

Electrical fitter

Current electrical licence (any Australian state)

Industrial electrical experience

Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience

Instrumentation experience

HA and/or HV experience would be good, but not essential

PLC experience and/or interest would be good, but not essential

Experience in reading/interpreting drawings and markups would be viewed favourably

Valid Australian driver's licence with clean driving record required for interstate travel

Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) and Working at Heights certification

Current EWP and Forklift licences required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)

If you have the right basic skills, and an excellent work ethic and attitude, we will invest in your training and add to your qualifications.

Successful candidates must pass medical.
