About the role

We are seeking a part-time Revenue and Billing Officer to join our team at the Mark Moran Vaucluse. 3 to 4 days per week with a full time salary of $85,000 pro-rata. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Retirement Village accounts are properly billed, collected on time and discrepancies investigated. This role is also responsible for reviewing and ensuring account information details remain accurate and building relationships with customers to ensure the timely payment of invoices. Providing support to the Bond Manager in all aspects of Aged Care revenue, billing and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day to day financial transactions, including recording, recharging and posting accounts receivables’ data, including Deferred Management Fees (DMF).

Prepare and generate invoices and statements accurately and timely for distribution in accordance with the month end timetable.

Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.

Admissions, discharge and refund administration and processing to maintain integrity of the members’ accounting and supplementary systems, including liaison with internal staff.

Address and resolve any queries from Members and families pertaining to accounts.

Regularly generate and review debtors aging analysis within the agreed upon finance timeline.

In consultation with the CFO, administer debt collection practices for overdue outstanding invoices, including liaison with internal staff.

Participation in the reconciliation of government fees and charges to resident records, including Supplements, Means Tested Care Fees, Non-Clinical Care Contributions, Retention Amounts and others as determined by legislation from time to time.

Participate and assist in external audits as required.

Participate and assist with regulatory reporting requirements.

Desirable Attributes:

3+ years previous experience working in a similar role within the Aged Care industry.

Formal qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, credit practices and collection regulations.

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating commercial and operational acumen.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

Customer service focused with excellent telephone & written communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and computer skills, namely Microsoft Excel.

Current police check.

Valid working rights.
