About this opportunity:
The Project Manager - Industrial Land Growth Planning will lead the coordination of industrial land infrastructure planning to support the Mackay region's future development.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate or contribute to the preparation of studies to inform the infrastructure requirements for the Mackay State Development Area, areas zoned for industry investigation and other growth areas nominated in the planning scheme.
- Prepare business cases and funding applications for concepts, designs and land acquisitions.
- Work with key stakeholders, including the Coordinator-General's Office, other infrastructure providers and relevant Council technical areas to progress investigations for infrastructure to service growth areas.
- Participate in the procurement and management of consultants as part of the development of infrastructure studies and plans.
Position requirements include:
- Qualification with substantial experience in a related field such as Civil Engineering or Town Planning.
- Strong ability to work across functional teams to maintain cohesive goals and objectives.
- Strong ability to oversee consultants and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the benefits of an "integrated approach" to land use and infrastructure planning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial implications of trunk infrastructure planning on council's long-term financial planning and development feasibility.
- Substantial experience in planning, design, managing and/or construction of public infrastructure, or industrial land planning.
