About The Role + Key Responsibilities

We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA team and oversee all aspects of food safety, regulatory compliance, and SQF system management. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest standards from production to shelf.

You will:

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the SQF Food Safety and Quality Management System

Lead all QA activities across the facility, including internal audits, inspections, and documentation

Manage compliance with FSANZ, Woolworths WSEP, and other regulatory/customer standards

Investigate non-conformances and implement root cause corrective actions

Train and support production staff in food safety practices and quality procedures

Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, and customer QA teams

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA and production

About You

Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline

Minimum 3+ years in a QA leadership role within food manufacturing

Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, and food safety legislation

Experience with Woolworths WSEP or similar retailer compliance systems

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
