About the company/role:

Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking a Site Quality Assurance Manager, to lead and direct the Quality teams for our client, an Australian owned food value add processor. Based in Sydney’s Western Suburbs at a state of the art facility.

Seeking an established Quality Manager, or a coordinator ready for the next step up, reporting to the GM Quality. Lead the site in all quality related matters.
This position will have 4 direct QA reports: with dotted lines to a wider team of 10 QC officers.
This role is site based and very hands on with production and operations on the floor.

Duties:

• Provide leadership across the site for matters relating to quality
• Leading internal, external and customer audits and manage corrective actions, customer complaints
• Work with HOQ/GM Quality on CI projects
• Hands on production floor focus, driving change, implementing continuous improvement
• Responsibility for rostering of teams, training on QA for staff, have a high visibility on site.
• Customer facing

Skills/experience:

• Several years’ experience as an established Quality manager in the food/beverage industry
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related
• Experience working in a fast moving, dynamic environment essential
• Experience working with private label clients ideal
• Experience in SQF/WQA, HACCP, ISO, GMP essential
• Experience with Coles fusion and related software desirable;
• Excellent leadership, resilience and communication skills essential
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
