Australian Meat Group are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work in our state-of-the-art meat processing facility in Cootamundra, NSW.

Reporting to the Plant Quality Assurance Manager, the position’s main focus will be implementing effective and efficient quality assurance systems in the manufacturing facility as well as assisting with various Quality Assurance tasks and projects.

Some of the key responsibilities of the position include:

• Enforcing quality standards, perform the necessary checks and provide immediate feedback

• Performing pre-operational hygiene checks

• Daily reporting and documentation

• Working closely with production supervisors, employees and site management to ensure conformance to company standards and specifications

• Performing daily GMP checks and report on breaches

• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

• Monitoring HACCP

• Assisting in micro sampling, micro swabbing, temperature checks, additional quality control checks

• Assisting Quality Assurance team members with ad hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in a meat processing facility

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload

Experience in quality assurance is highly desirable.
