We’re looking for a dynamic Food Innovation & Supply Operations Coordinator to join our team and help lead the safe, data-driven, and strategic rollout of new food offerings.
This is a multi-functional role that blends food safety, procurement, business reporting, and product development support — perfect for someone who thrives on variety, ownership, and innovation. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Responsibilities:
Support commercial and pricing strategy by tracking supplier cost changes and their impact on gross profit (GP) margins
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and marketing teams to recommend pricing adjustments when required
Oversee product handling SOPs, including defrosting, shelf-life tracking, and store-level compliance
Support new product development and rollouts: assist with packaging briefs, food safety checks, and staff training docs
Forecast stock and manage procurement schedules with local and international suppliers
Monitor product performance through POS data and generate weekly reports (wastage, sell-through, demand trends)
Coordinate with marketing and operations to ensure smooth in-store execution
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian food safety laws and ensure team compliance across all food offers
Liaise with stores to troubleshoot issues and support best practices
Identify and suggest innovations in process, product rotation, and packaging
What you'll bring:
Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ Food Standards, and food handling protocols
Experience in retail food, quick-service restaurants, or FMCG
Hands-on exposure to menu development — whether through test kitchens, R&D, or working alongside chefs or culinary teams
Comfortable developing and testing new food ideas with a focus on cost, consistency, and compliance
Experience in procurement, supply planning, or inventory control
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other analytics platforms
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive and collaborative mindset — you’re comfortable working cross-functionally
Clear communication skills — written, verbal, and visual (e.g. internal guides, checklists, or POS specs)
BONUS POINTS FOR
Exposure to commercial kitchens or test kitchens in Australia, especially in a QSR or restaurants/retail chain setting
Familiarity with food traceability, allergen labelling, and supplier compliance checks
Passion for food trends, customer experience, and product innovation
