ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to drive improvements in the environmental assessment and performance of council activities. Key outputs for the role include:
Develop and implement innovative initiatives, plans, templates, programs, procedures and policies.
Monitor and evaluate plans, programs and initiatives.
Prepare and review environmental assessments and supporting resources.
Provide specialist advice and training.
The role is within Council’s Environment Management team, which comprises specialists in biodiversity and sustainability, collectively working to improve environmental outcomes across the Liverpool LGA.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in the role, you should possess the following:
Degree qualification in Environmental Management, Science or similar, and/or relevant industry experience
Comprehensive experience developing or reviewing environmental assessments.
Comprehensive understanding of emerging matters in relation to environmental management and environmental impact assessments.
Demonstrated experience in interpreting environmental legislation relevant to environmental assessments.
Strong technical knowledge of environmental management issues (such as noise, biodiversity, water quality), and environmental impact assessments.
Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
