About the Role
As a Full Time Petrol Fitter, you will have a secure Monday to Friday gig working in a fully equipped workshop located at our head office and distribution center in Stapylton. You will be working with 2 awesome fitters with 18 years combined experience at TradeTools!
We are closed every Sunday and National Public Holidays.
It is a varied workshop role focusing on petrol and hydraulic tools and equipment from; Petrol Compressors & Pressure Washers, line trimmers, quick cuts etc to workshop trolley jacks!
Enjoy uncapped earnings - the more jobs you repair, the more you can earn!
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies and other components, and checking parts
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of motors and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Key to your success will be:

- A willingness to learn and share
- Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment is a must
This role will equally suit someone just starting out in their trade or someone experienced looking for a secure role with limited travel.
