Top Gunn Disability Support Services is a registered disability support provider who provide innovative staffing solutions to the Disability Sector in Albury/Wodonga and surrounding areas . Our team specialises in providing a high level of care and support to individuals with a variety of needs. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service with a personal touch. Due to this we are rapidly expanding and urgently need experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team and improve our client’s day to day lives.

Requirements:

Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability

An understanding of the disability sector and person-centred support

Excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach

Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to Top Gunn Support

Have a minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Disability Support, or greater. Studying a higher degree with industry experience will also be considered.

Australian Full Driver's License

Have your NDIS Clearance and NDIS Worker Training modules completed

Hold a valid CPR and First Aid Certificate

Hold a valid Working with Children Check in NSW and Victoria

Have your own car with comprehensive car insurance

Prefer to have experience with participants who have High Support Needs, Autism, Intellectual Disability and Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health (highly regarded) but not essential.

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Experience communicating with families and record keeping.

These roles may involve:

Assistance with community access and recreational activities

Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)

Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists

Transportation and social engagement

Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
