The Position:

An exciting opportunity exists to join our great team as a Level 3 IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator, servicing a diverse range of clients across the retail, healthcare & professional services sectors.

Reporting to the CTO the Senior I.T Support Engineer will work well with a small team of support staff and be a be an escalation point for customer and technical queries. You should be able to communicate technical answers or advice to non-technical end users & client management.

Aside from being a senior technical resource in our day-to-day operations you will also have the opportunity to be a part of a wide range of project work from server installs & migrations to business relocations, new store openings & IT hardware refresh projects.

This role will expose you to a wide range of technology and IT systems. You will have full exposure to these systems (a benefit of joining a smaller team) so that we can develop you into the go to expert our clients can rely on to look after their IT needs.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

Follow best practice & make sure change management is done in line with established company standards.

Help keep us & our clients secure, if you see something point it out so we can address and grow together.

Provide change management guidance when working with junior team.

Installation, management and troubleshooting various components of our client’s technology stack (remote & onsite).

Develop & document technical solutions & workarounds in line with company standards.

Work with less experienced team members as a mentor & help develop their technical capability.

Provide advice to clients on upgrade or replacement recommendations.

Help improve and automate internal processes to improve our operational efficiency.

Efficiently and effectively communicate with clients on a day-to-day using our support desk ticket system (CW Manage).

Work with our clients 3rd party software support teams in a collaborative way to get the best client outcome.

You will also be asked to provide support on special projects like cloud migrations, server upgrades, business relocations, client onboarding, etc.

Experience:

If you work for or have worked for a Managed Services Provider or IT company looking after small and medium sized businesses then you are in the box seat for this role.

Strong skills & experience working with PowerShell writing scripts to be used for automation of common tasks would be highly desirable as this is a key focus of our 3 year strategic plan

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate knowledge of key principals and procedures.

PSA and RMM experience is required.

Technical:

Understand the importance of change management when working with complex IT systems

Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Strong skills & experience working with PowerShell

Experience with Microsoft 365 technology suite (MS-500 highly desirable)

Experience working with Azure Active Directory (AZ-104, AZ-500 desirable)

Strong Experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies

Experience with VSS Backup technologies (StorageCraft, Altaro, Veeam, MSP360)

Strong Networking knowledge (switches, routers, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

Previous experience in a client facing or Managed Service environment (highly desirable)

Project delivery experience (Microsoft 365, Email migrations, Office relocations, IT refresh)
