About Lumia Care:
At Lumia Care, we are driven by purpose. As a leading aged care and disability provider, our people are at the heart of delivering quality, dignity, and choice to the individuals and communities we serve.
As we continue to grow and respond to sector reforms and organisational development needs, we are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Project Consultant for a 3-month fixed-term contract to deliver key People & Culture projects across the organisation.
About the Role:
As the HR Project Consultant, you will take the lead on two priority initiatives:
- Finalisation and implementation of organisational HR policies and procedures, and
- Development and standardisation of position descriptions across our business units.
Working closely with the People and Culture Manager and CPO, you will bring a structured, collaborative, and agile approach to ensure timely delivery of these key foundations for our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit, consolidate, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards, and organisational values.
- Develop a comprehensive, consistent, and accessible HR policy suite, including user-friendly templates and guidance notes.
- Lead consultation and engagement processes with stakeholders to ensure policies and position descriptions meet operational and workforce needs.
- Design and roll out a suite of contemporary, fit-for-purpose position descriptions across corporate, care, and support service roles.
- Collaborate with leaders across departments to align role expectations with organisational structure and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear documentation, implementation plans, and handover material to embed outputs beyond the project period.
About You:
You are a self-motivated, outcomes-focused HR professional who thrives on fast-paced, project-based work. You bring excellent written communication skills, the ability to distil complexity, and a natural flair for engaging stakeholders in change.
Essential Experience & Attributes:
- Demonstrated HR generalist or advisory experience, ideally within aged care, disability, healthcare or community services.
- Proven capability in developing policies, procedures and position descriptions.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work Act, and modern awards (especially SCHADS, Nurses, Aged Care).
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with a commitment to meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating as part of a small team.
