About the Role

4Z - Industrial Laser Scanning is on the hunt for a talented Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Geelong, VIC. This full-time role is key to supporting our clients in the Mining, Oil and Gas & Power industry with precise and efficient surveying services. But we do more than just surveying! As a Surveyor at 4Z, you'll engage with advanced technologies, including cutting-edge laser scanning equipment, drones, and Robotic Total Stations, in a forward-thinking company focused on innovation and excellence. Conduct detailed industrial and plant surveys, and manage survey control for laser scanning data capture, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.

What You'll Be Doing

Engage with advanced technologies to perform industrial and plant surveys using laser scanning equipment, drones, and Robotic Total Stations.

Manage survey control for laser scanning data capture and drone data to ensure precise data collection.

Collect, process, and analyze drone, laser and survey data to produce detailed reports and 3D models.

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide customised solutions.

Contribute to innovative projects that extend beyond traditional surveying boundaries, way beyond...

Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Maintain and calibrate survey equipment for peak performance, including drone technology and Robotic Total Stations.

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated surveying solutions.

What We're Looking For

Education: Tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years as a Surveyor, ideally in the Mining, Resources & Energy sector.

Drone Certification: Registered drone pilot certification is required for this role.

Technical Skills:

Proficient with advanced surveying equipment, including laser scanners, GPS, drones, and Robotic Total Stations.

Familiarity with Leica survey and laser scanning equipment is essential.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to interpret survey data effectively.

Communication: Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
