STH and World Rugby have recently signed an exclusive agreement to redefine the premium fan experience for the next three men’s and women’s Rugby World Cups. As part of this agreement, STH Group has recently opened a new office in Sydney to provide hospitality and premium fan experiences for Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.
ROLE SUMMARY:
With just over two years until the start of Rugby World Cup 2027, we are looking for an experienced tourism, events and operations professional to join the Sydney team. You will be responsible for overseeing the Consumer & Tourism Experience portfolio and the operational execution of the Official Travel Agent (OTA) Program and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales channels for key events in Sydney.
The position plays a key role in delivering seamless, tourism and event experiences for diverse customer segments across both international and domestic markets. Reporting to the Head of Travel & Tourism, you will help support the design and contracting of tourism products and exclusive experiences.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Australian tourism experiences and destinations, along with a talent for crafting bespoke, high-end travel offerings tailored to high-net-worth individuals, groups, and Official Travel Agents (OTAs).
ABOUT YOU:
• Event Management: Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale travel and hospitality programs, ideally within major sporting or live event environments.
• Customer Experience Excellence: Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, premium customer experiences in dynamic, high-pressure settings.
• Operational Expertise: Solid background in operations management, including effective coordination of vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Relationship Management: Experience managing relationships with both third-party travel agencies and direct customers, ensuring consistent service standards.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyse real-time data to make informed decisions and resolve issues efficiently.
• Tourism Product Innovation: Skilled in developing unique tourism experiences by leveraging market research, customer behavior insights, and emerging trends.
