STH and World Rugby have recently signed an exclusive agreement to redefine the premium fan experience for the next three men’s and women’s Rugby World Cups. As part of this agreement, STH Group has recently opened a new office in Sydney to provide hospitality and premium fan experiences for Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.
ROLE SUMMARY:
With just over two years until the start of Rugby World Cup 2027, we are looking for an experienced finance professional to join the Sydney team. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, providing accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross functionally with other departments to drive financial performance and optimise financial resource allocation.
ABOUT YOU:
• Finance Qualification / background – Relevant finance qualifications (CA, CPA, CIMA accreditation) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role demonstrating proficiency in financial and management accounting.
• Financial Reporting: Proven track record in preparing and reviewing month-end accounts and year-end financial statements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Strong experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and conducting scenario analysis to provide commercial and technical finance recommendations to senior management.
• Financial Systems Proficiency: Experience with large ERP systems, particularly SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Communication & Influence - exceptional communicator who can simplify complex financial data into actionable insights, influencing commercial stakeholders.
• Team player - collaborative, responsive & anticipatory in terms of what changes can be made in order to maximise revenue and profit.
• Sports and Events: A passion for sport would be beneficial but is not essential.
