About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estimator to support our business growth and development within the fire protection industry. In this client-facing role, you will prepare accurate and competitive quotes and tenders, partner with our sales and operations teams to develop effective sales strategies, and contribute to overall business development initiatives.

This is a pivotal role that combines technical knowledge with strategic input, requiring strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and industry expertise.

Position: Estimator - Full Time Permanant

Location: Northmead Office, Sydney

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotes, and tender submissions for fire protection services and projects

Meet with clients to understand project scope, requirements, and expectations

Partner with the sales and operations teams to develop and execute project and sales strategies

Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to growth initiatives

Maintain accurate records of pricing, tenders, and historical project data

Interpret fire protection plans, specifications, and relevant codes and standards

Support continuous improvement in estimating and quoting processes

Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, codes, and industry best practices

Skills & Experience:

Previous estimating experience in the fire protection industry is highly desirable

Background as a Fire Technician or similar related is strongly preferred

Mechanical Engineering, Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection or Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or similiar related qualifcation- preferred not required

Sound knowledge of fire protection systems, components, and regulatory requirements

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Strong communication and client engagement skills

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organisational abilities

Ability to work collaboratively with sales, project, and operational teams

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy under pressure
