Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Painting Estimator to join our Sydney team in a permanent full-time capacity. Please note: This position is not open to freelancers, and applicants without prior painting estimating experience will not be considered. This is a stable role with long-term growth opportunities for the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in project estimation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare highly accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for painting projects across remedial, residential, commercial, industrial, and heritage sectors

Conduct thorough on-site inspections and assessments, particularly for remedial painting projects

Read, interpret, and understand construction documentation, plans, and specifications with precision

Estimate material supply and labor costs with demonstrated accuracy

Independently source and develop new project opportunities to build our client base

Meet directly with clients to discuss project requirements, scope, and present detailed estimates

Explain technical aspects and project specifications to clients in clear, professional terms

Focus on securing award-winning, high-quality projects that align with company standards

Analyze project requirements comprehensively to ensure all aspects are covered in estimates

Utilize estimation software tools for precise project costing (CostX experience preferred)

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all estimates and site assessments

Actively seek out tenders and RFQ packages for projects

About You: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Minimum 8 years experience in painting estimating within the construction industry with a proven track record of accurate estimates

Strong knowledge of painting products, application processes, and remedial, residential, commercial, heritage, and industrial work

Demonstrated ability to produce consistently accurate estimates that result in profitable projects

Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in project assessment

Must own a laptop/computer and have proficiency in estimation software (CostX experience preferred)

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and project estimation software

Strong communication skills for direct client interaction and presentations

Ability to work independently and take initiative in project development

Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines

Experience in tendering for both Private Sector & Government departments is preferred

Must hold a valid Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)

Based in Sydney
