About the role

As a Service and Calibration Technician at IDM Instruments Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our extensive range of industrial measurement and control equipment. Based in our Hallam, Vic office, this full-time position is essential in ensuring our customers receive reliable, high-quality products and services.

What you'll be doing

Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration services on a variety of industrial instrumentation and control systems

Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions

Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional technical support

Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities

Support the wider team in completing special projects and other ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

Relevant technical qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics, or a related field

Demonstrated experience as a service technician, preferably in the manufacturing, process control, or industrial automation sectors

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
