About The Role
Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking for a full-time Service Technician. We are currently located in Tullamarine, but will be relocating to Dandenong South in the next two months.
We require an enthusiastic individual with the ability to not only self-manage, but also work within a Team environment. You will be expected to perform service calls to repair, maintain, calibrate, and identify solutions to technical problems associated to weighing equipment with a high focus on installation and calibration of weighbridges.
Remuneration
5 years experience (NMI 6.1 - 6.4) - up to $55 per hour
Up to 5 years experience - up to $45 per hour
( Dependent on experience and skill-set )
Responsibilities
Ensure that service standards and objectives are being achieved.
Perform duties of repairing, calibrating, and servicing weighing equipment
Installation, service and calibration of weighbridges
Troubleshoot & test scales using supplied equipment
Troubleshoot and calibrate both mechanical and digital scales
Document all test results and provide complete paperwork
Programming of equipment (calibration)
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment at all times
Maintain service vehicles, equipment, tools, and PPE
Complete-time records, work orders, and logs each day
Create a positive and respectful work environment
Qualifications & Experience
NMI Licence highly regarded
Minimum 5 years experience (desirable)
Must have a current drivers license
Must be computer literate
Ability to self manage and work autonomously
Good verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to continuously learn
Prompt, pleasant, positive attitude and follows instructions well
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
