What is this role all about?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis, starting immediately until 8 August, with the potential for employment following the contract period.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will provide essential administrative support across a range of HR functions, helping to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities will include assisting with recruitment and onboarding, maintaining HRIS records, supporting WHS compliance, and contributing to learning and development initiatives.

Your day may include but not be limited to:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for students and volunteers, including advertising, direct searches, phone screening, shortlisting, interviewing and compliance checks.
Coordinating and maintaining all HR records, documentation and workflows.
Drafting high-quality position descriptions, policies and procedures.
Supporting the onboarding and offboarding of employees to ensure a seamless employee experience.
Responding to HR queries in a timely and professional manner.
Preparing employment contracts and associated payroll paperwork
Working on specific project items across the business activities.
What do you need to apply? (Selection criteria)
Minimum demonstrated 1-2 years experience in Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, or other HR-related administrative tasks.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources desirable (e.g. Graduate Certificate, Diploma or Degree in HR or related discipline).
High level of computer literacy, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience using HR systems, such as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven administrative experience in a support or assistant role (desirable but not essential).
Excellent attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work independently.

Current, unrestricted driver's license.
Ability to obtain and maintain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Starting remuneration is: Level 3 of the of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (the "Modern Award") and conditions under the National Employment Standards ("NES"). Regular remuneration reviews and opportunity for increases.
