Your new role
As the Coordinator Risk Management, you will step into a key leadership role for a 3-month contract, starting immediately as a contractor. You'll be responsible for driving the organisation's enterprise risk management framework, ensuring strategic and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading risk identification and mitigation across all business units.
- Maintaining and enhancing the corporate risk register and reporting systems.
- Advising senior leadership on risk exposure and strategic risk planning.
- Managing insurance programs and claims (excluding workers compensation).
- Overseeing fraud and corruption control initiatives and compliance.
- Acting as the risk owner for the Business Continuity Plan and supporting resilience planning.
- Reviewing and refining risk-related policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with internal audit and governance teams to align assurance activities.
- Delivering training and awareness programs to build organisational capability in risk management.
This role is ideal for a seasoned risk professional who can quickly integrate, assess, and deliver results in a fast-paced government setting.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in risk management or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise, strategic, and operational risk frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of fraud and corruption control, insurance, and claims management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement risk-related policies and business continuity strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A current Class C Driver's Licence.
