THE MONDAY GROUP has been engaged by a leading hospitality group to appoint a Business Development Manager focused on growing corporate event revenue across Parramatta and Western Sydney.
This is a key sales role suited to a proactive and strategic professional with a strong grasp of the Western Sydney business landscape.
With a growing presence in this high-opportunity region, the business hosts a diverse range of corporate events - from executive lunches and team off-sites to large-scale conferences and awards nights. You’ll work closely with marketing and the in-house events team to develop new partnerships and drive long-term client growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, government, and association sectors
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned to revenue targets
- Generate leads, reactivate lapsed accounts, and build a strong, healthy pipeline
- Conduct site inspections and client meetings across multiple venues
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotes, and presentations to convert leads into bookings
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns for Western Sydney audiences
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to drive brand visibility
- Work with internal teams to ensure seamless client handover and delivery
- Manage sales activity, pipeline, and reporting via CRM (Ungerboeck experience a plus)
About You:
- 4+ years experience in a business development or sales role within hospitality, events, or venues
- Strong understanding of the Western Sydney/Parramatta corporate market
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Confident relationship-builder with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker with a solutions-focused approach to client needs
- Well-organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working flexibly and attending after-hours events as needed
- Professional, polished, and aligned with a values-led team culture
