We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join us in the acute Occupational Therapy team at Alice Springs Hospital. An exciting opportunity awaits the right person seeking an adventure and challenge, with an immediate start to join the team. The Occupational Therapy department is a small yet dedicated team that values its high quality service and collaboration to help achieve positive outcomes for their patients. This unique environment brings an opportunity to upskill in a supportive setting, work autonomously and work on problem solving and communication skills; skills that can be developed and improved at any level.

You will work in a remote setting that will contribute to the continuum of patient care by providing a high quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate occupational therapy services to in an acute inpatient setting. You will provide high quality and evidence based Occupational Therapy expertise as part of the Occupational Therapy team. You will be provided support with regular clinical supervision and have the opportunity to be involved in continuous quality improvement projects and supervising undergraduate students.

Alice Springs Hospital is an accredited modern 207-bed teaching hospital providing services to adult, aged and paediatric populations living in Alice Springs and surrounding regions, covering a vast catchment area of almost one million square kilometres.

You will possess relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy that meets membership eligibility requirements of registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will have acute care or relevant clinical experience, demonstrated awareness of multicultural issues and their impact on clinical practice, and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
