Join a supportive, fast-paced team in a government-owned electricity distribution company that services over 4 million people across NSW. We’re looking for a Claims Officer to help deliver a high-volume customer claims project for 8–10 weeks.

About the Role
As a Claims Officer, you’ll assist in checking eligibility and processing claims related to outage compensation. You’ll play a key role in helping customers receive timely reimbursements, using data to make accurate eligibility assessments.

The role is office-based in Newcastle, with a Monday to Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm).

Key Responsibilities

• Review outage data and check eligibility for GSL claims
• Process approved claims accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with customers via email or phone when additional info is needed
• Use internal systems, Microsoft Office, CRM, and refer to PowerBI reports
• Support the team in meeting targets for a high-volume claims project

Your Skillset

• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work with complex data
• Strong attention to detail and data processing skills
• Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating CRMs
• Great communication and customer service experience
• Ability to collaborate with the team and meet tight deadlines
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help others
• Previous experience in claims or investigations is highly desirable
