The Role & Business

Working as a Senior Estimator within a team of 4, you will have full responsibility for your tenders on commercial projects spanning Education, Health, Aged Care, Adaptive re-use, State & Federal government work and commercial office space. Reporting to the Estimating Manager with a direct line to your Director, you will be assisted in your role with a well structured front-end team consisting of experienced people across Pre-Construction, Design & Engineering Management and Construction Management.

Your key duties and skills required for the job will include:

Responsible for Submission of tenders up to $30M

Reporting directly to Estimating Manager in an extremely flat structure

Confidence in summarising drawings

Reviewing & analysing subcontractor quotes

Ability to meet deadlines

High attention to detail

Ability to do own measuring

Experience using CostX

Liaising with subcontractors to attain accurate pricing

Methodical and through approach

Sound knowledge of pricing structural work across new build and heavy refurbishment working for the Head Contractor

Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Qualifications & Experience

This role is applicable to an individual who can demonstrate strong longevity of employment throughout their career as an Estimator with commercial builders in Sydney

As a Senior Estimator, you will have a minimum of 5 years POST QUALIFICATION experience in Australia delivering tenders to a minimum of $15M inclusive of new build projects in the commercial sector

The successful individual will want to be part of something, working with professional people to deliver successful project outcomes and build jobs you can be proud to have tendered

You will be collaborative in working within your team of 4 but equally able to centre on your own tenders

Your attitude will be your biggest asset - you will be hard working, have a positive mindset and be eager to continue learning

You will have worked with good construction software
