Farmhand (Beef and Potato Farmer)

Full time position exists in the South West of WA at a Beef and Potato Farm in Pemberton for an experienced Farm Hand.

The Primary role is to assist with and work on the farm's potato and beef operations in Pemberton and collaborate with the Production Manager to optimise farm outputs.

Job Description

Assist with potato growing lifecycle from planting to harvest.

Operate, repair and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

Assist with all aspects of livestock management which include monitoring stock, reporting on animal health and welfare, stock maintenance including vaccination, feeding, breeding/ calving and preparation of stock for sale in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Able to work autonomously or in a team environment.

Skills Required

1 or more years of experience in a farming role.

Ideal to have certifications in chemical application, safety and forklift operation.

Preferably possesses a HR truck licence.

Only open to Australian PR or Citizens – overseas and temporary visa holders need not apply.

Must work variable and seasonal hours in line with normal farming operation requirements. Must be physically fit and able to perform all tasks and duties with an active farming role.
