IMF Site Services, part of the privately owned IMF Group, delivers high-quality maintenance and structural solutions across multiple Hunter Valley mine sites. As our project footprint expands, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Coordinator to lead site-based maintenance teams while driving quality outcomes, safety performance, and strong client relationships.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a trade background who’s ready to step up, coordinate field execution, and work closely with site supervisors, trades teams, and clients.

About the role

As the Maintenance Coordinator at IMF Mining Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of the company's mining equipment and facilities. This full-time position is based in Rutherford, NSW, and will involve coordinating and overseeing all maintenance activities to support the smooth operation of the company's mining operations.

As Maintenance Coordinator, you will:

Coordinate and oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across multiple sites

Plan, schedule, and execute shutdowns, repairs, and structural maintenance tasks

Act as the key point of contact for site supervisors, trades teams, and clients

Work closely with clients to understand site priorities, deliver high-quality outcomes, and strengthen long-term partnerships

Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Manage subcontractors and labour resources across multiple active sites

Support the Operations Manager with logistics, onboarding/inductions, and resource planning

Lead and mentor field crews, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

Trade qualified (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter – Cert III required)

Proven experience in maintenance coordination, supervision, or leading hand roles

Strong planning and organisational skills in shutdowns and field maintenance

High commitment to safety and understanding of risk management processes

Experience in complex rigging operations, including lift planning and execution

Client-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills and business development

Effective communicator with the ability to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders

Order 43 Medical and ability to pass drug/alcohol screening

Additional qualifications (e.g., WAH, Confined Space, LF, WP, Rigging tickets) highly regarded

Knowledge of Glencore or similar site requirements preferred
