About the Position
We are seeking an Advisor, Regulatory Performance and Governance to join the high performing, multi-disciplinary Education and Advice team.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Education and Advice, this a key role which supports the reporting, education, and governance functions of the Registered Organisations Services Branch (the Branch).
The role supports the governance of the Branch by coordinating and drafting briefs and reports that promote awareness of the efforts of the Branch as a regulator both within and outside of the Commission.
The Advisor will communicate the Branch’s effective delivery of KPIs, and other regulatory functions, while contributing to our strategic goals and ensuring a timely response to questions and requests for information. Working flexibly across a small team, they will assist their colleagues to deliver our stakeholder engagement and education functions.
Duties
As a valued member of the Education and Advice team, the duties of the Advisor, Regulatory Performance and Governance include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination, drafting and preparation of the Branch’s response to various internal and external requests for information, including both regular and ad-hoc reports and briefs.
- Managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve Branch goals, support the Executive Director and Branch governance processes, improve the flow of information, assist with the resolution of complex situations, and deliver results.
- Working flexibly as part of a team to ensure consistent, high-quality monitoring and reporting of Branch performance against the Commission's Corporate Plan, Branch Plan, and other key reporting or regulatory requirements.
- Analysis, interpretation and evaluation of information and data from various sources to help inform and achieve Branch priorities.
- Assisting Branch staff in monitoring and reporting on the compliance performance of registered organisations and other regulatory stakeholders.
- Supporting the delivery of Branch technical projects and priorities.
- Assisting with the development of appropriate systems, procedures, and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow within the Branch.
- Assisting with the delivery of the Education Strategy on time, to a high standard, under supervision and within deadlines.
- Assisting with the design and implementation of effective education tools and maintaining an existing library of education tools and resources.
- Engaging with registered organisations and their peak bodies to provide assistance and advice.
- Other tasks as directed by the Assistant Director, Education and Advice.
