A bit about the role

We’re looking for a strategic and outcomes-focused Senior Project Manager to lead the next phase of enhancements for our OneCouncil platform. In this role, you’ll bring together cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and project governance to ensure delivery of high-impact improvements that support business continuity and user needs. You’ll champion collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation to drive meaningful results across the organisation.

What you’ll deliver

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver OneCouncil enhancements aligned with stakeholder needs and business priorities.
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and governance of platform improvements.
• Collaborate with technical leads to ensure successful implementation using contemporary project management practices.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to manage expectations and ensure business needs are met.
• Embed continuous improvement, capturing lessons learned and refining ways of working.
• Ensure project governance and reporting through risk management, issue escalation, and high-quality insights.

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Project Management or related field.
• Certification in project or delivery management such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or equivalent Agile certification.
• Proven experience leading complex enterprise software implementations, ideally within local government or public sector environments. (TechnologyOne CiA highly desirable).
• Strong background in Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, including internal staff, vendors, and consultants.
• Formal training in Governance or Risk Management.
• Strong change leadership skills, including ability to influence, coach and support end-user adoption and business readiness.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
• A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
