As we continue to grow, we’re looking for our next Strategic Relationship Manager to join our thriving team and help us strengthen relationships, drive sales, and deliver outstanding service to our valued customers.

The Relationship Manager will support the General Manager of Sales and be accountable for the company’s strategic accounts and core strategic channels. Success will come from a high level of proactivity, sales activity and strong account management, with a focus on strategic customer development, building relationships, analysing customer needs in technical, training, sales and marketing support programs , identifying opportunities, and developing and implementing strategic initiatives that foster a close and effective partnership.

The role will require a strong strategic account manager who has exceptional business acumen, sound business development and interpersonal skills at all levels. A proven track record of delivering results to play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy and growth initiatives across the electrical fire safety industry and direct channels.

This role is to be based in Brisbane or on the Sunshine Coast. This role will include a fully maintained company vehicle or a fuel allowance.

Responsibilities

Grow and managing client relationships: Support in the develop and implementation of comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives that are enshrined in the 1PSP. Tracking of monthly and weekly sales utilising the functionality of Salesforce CRM.

Account Management: Maintain relationships with key strategic accounts, providing exceptional service and support to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. There is a large focus on training and development with all customers ensuring industry leading support.

Sales Execution: Derived from the company sales strategy, a focus on maximizing our sales impact in the strategic channel and increasing revenue across the country.

Management: Oversee all strategic sales customers while supporting and being a partner to the wholesale sales channel & strategic partnerships, ensuring effective overall channel management and optimization for the company.

Reporting: Prepare regular strqategic account reports and presentations for senior management, offering insights and recommendations to track progress and communicate results effectively. Sales, training, marketing and warranty reports.

Marketing and Sales Communication: Collaborate with the marketing department to develop effective Strategic sales communication tools, including technical product information, catalogues, sales and marketing programs, promotions, campaigns, launches, and CRM initiatives targeted directly for your strategic customers needs.

Promotional Activity Management: Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Strategic promotional activities, coordinating efforts across internal teams to maximize impact and ROI. Conduct reviews of promotional activities to help inform direction and nature of future campaigns.

Closing Sales Deals: Support and lead the preparation of tenders and sales proposals and ensure all sales leads are closed by the sales team in all channels.

Qualifications and requirements (mandatory or desired)

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (desirable).

Proven experience in a fast paced, customer facing strategic planning, account management, business development, or a similar managerial role within the fire safety, security, or related industry – (desriable).

Knowledge and skills

Strong business and numerical acumen, with the ability to interpret market data and draw insights to drive informed decision-making.

Effective business communication requires clarity, conciseness, accuracy, relevance, and appropriate tone and style. Always leads with a clear vision.

Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing and executing account management strategies and achieving growth targets.

Self-motivated with excellent collaboration and team engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team to deliver on joint goals.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Results-oriented mindset with a high sense of initiative, to focus on driving performance and achieving business objectives.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet or exceed deadlines for internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices in Australia is highly desirable.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and CRM skills

Previous use of Salesforce highly desirable.

Personal qualities

Have a sense of humor and an insatiable hunger for results.

Willing to undertake and achieve a satisfactory result from a police background check and understand that this is an ongoing condition of employment that periodic checks may be conducted.

Hold a valid Driver’s license.

Willing to “roll sleeves up” and assist colleagues.

High integrity, trustworthy and reliable.

Strong attention to detail.

Thrive in small teams and able to work autonomously when required.
