Due to internal movement within the team, we are looking for a Demand Planner to join us for a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Demand Planner is responsible for managing and procuring inventory and ensuring product availability for suppliers with a strong focus on improving stock availability at our warehouse, based in Padstow.
This is a hybrid position, where you will work closely with our Service Centres and our Distribution Centre and are expected to be onsite 2 – 3 days per week to meet the business needs.
About the role:
Conduct biannual analysis of data and market trends to support your forecasting for future needs and product life
Create purchase orders on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis
Regular review of stock on hand and responsible for to fill the supply gap through procurement of glass
Coordinating deliveries with warehouse operations and shipping documents, including the follow-up of outstanding purchase orders as well as receipt of packing
Handling local dealer purchases into the Distribution Centre as well as the Service Centre Network nationally
Place orders and manage invoice payments and validation for local and overseas suppliers
About you:
High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and engage with others.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a driven desire to succeed
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and conflicting tasks
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and provide solutions.
Strong attention to detail and experience with systems, GAINS & MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge or experience within the glass industry, specifically around products and supply, is an advantage
