Purpose of the role
The Planner is responsible for the preparation and assessment of the project schedules and plans covering the full project scope across all project phases – project inception through to operations. The role leads optimised program assessment governance to ensure delivery of all projects and programs meet the project objectives, timelines and budgets whilst maintaining consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in scheduling across Infrastructure Delivery and Systems Planning.

Accountabilities and deliverables

• Provide proficiency in delay analysis, schedule risk analysis, and oversee performance and productivity reviews.
• Plan and oversight optimised delivery plans to scheduling teams for resource loading and management.
• Create, review, update and administer construction schedules and plans.
• Liaise with customers to review and optimise and align project objectives into a project delivery plan.
• Package, sequence, and profile works into optimise delivery plans.
• Manage client and contractor schedules, tracking actuals and performance, against an overall project delivery plan.
• Integrate multiple schedules and maintain baseline, revised, forecast project schedules as required.
• Oversight the recording of actuals and conduct assurance as to the efficiency and accuracy of controls.
• Manage performance assessment, time forecasting and corrective actions process on responsible projects and programs,
• Enable the cost forecasting and cashflow of responsible projects and programs.
• Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project planning approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and other project team members to keep plans updated and identify project issues
• Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance
• Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems

Experience and skills

• 10 years of experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, and knowledge of project cost estimating, tracking and control
• 10 years’ experience in projects, infrastructure, construction or maintenance industries as project management, engineering or a controls discipline (cost, risk, quality, safety, contracts, etc) – Not works planning or scheduling.
• Some hands-on experience with enterprise-wide cost accounting system, SAP – preferred.
• Knowledge of the construction industry
• Advance knowledge in using Excel.
• Power BI reporting skills preferred

Pay Rate: $700-$900 per day plus super
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day/ 40 hours per week
Location: Chatswood, Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in the office.
