The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is looking for a social media leader with experience in social media strategy and team management to lead the digital content team.

A strategic communicator and dynamic leader, you will oversee day-to-day content across the department's channels - Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X. Using data-driven insights and creativity you will maximise and drive traffic to DPC's external news site, We Are.SA, via social media and EDM.

The role is also responsible for liaising with and providing advice to business units to prepare and deliver whole-of-government messaging across multiple platforms when required, and to produce reporting on the digital content team's achievements.

This role is exciting and fast paced - sharing news and updates from across the public sector about what makes South Australia a great state to work and live.

Special Conditions

The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.

The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.

This role requires a National Criminal History check.

Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Communications or related discipline and/or a minimum of five-years' experience in a similar role.

Out-of-hours work will be required to ensure timely provision of digital content/social media moderation.
