About the Position

The Office of the Leader of the Opposition is looking for a creative and digitally savvy Content Creator to join our high-performing communications team.

This role is central to helping us tell the Opposition’s story across platforms through compelling visuals, engaging copy, and sharp digital content that resonates with South Australians.

You’ll be part of a fast-paced political environment, creating content that informs, inspires, and drives impact.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a storyteller at heart who is comfortable shooting, editing, designing, and writing. You understand what works online and enjoy translating complex information into clear, engaging content. Experience in political, media, or advocacy settings is a bonus, but not essential.

Role & Responsibilities:

Create digital-first content for social media, including graphics, video, and copy.

Design materials for online and print, including infographics, posters, and reports.

Capture and edit video content from press conferences, events, and interviews.

Assist in managing social media accounts, including planning and posting content.

Monitor social trends and political developments to identify content opportunities.

Support the broader communications and media team as needed.

Desirable Criteria:

Strong skills in content creation, including video editing, graphic design, copywriting.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.

Familiarity with managing social media platforms and creating for each format.

A good eye for visual design and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Interest in politics and public affairs.

Willingness to be flexible and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
