ABOUT AUSTRALIANS TOGETHER
Australians Together is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together a passionate and diverse team of non-Indigenous and First Nations staff, consultants and collaborators across Australia. We respectfully learn from and partner with First Nations Elders and leaders, curriculum writers, academics and educators. We recognise that there’s a wound in the spirit of our nation and for healing to take place, we need to work together.
THE ROLE
As a Digital Copywriter and Content Editor you’ll focus on creating and editing engaging, relevant and direct communications with our audiences. The various collateral creations include social media, campaigns, emails and website copy and editing. You’ll be responsible for making our digital content come alive, collaborating with the marketing team to develop engaging copy and ensuring consistency in our brand message. Your writing will work towards increasing and maintaining our audience engagement through our various platforms. As you write and edit content, you’ll ensure our tone of voice and messaging connects to our audiences. An important part of the role is ensuring our permissions process is followed.
We encourage First Nations people and people from diverse cultures, abilities and identities to apply.

· a compelling communicator: you know how to engage our current audiences and have ideas on how to attract new ones
· an excellent editor: you can quickly edit other people’s writing to ensure flow, make it fit for purpose and on-brand; you’re great at shaping the overall story as well as digging into the detail
· detail-oriented: you’re a stickler for spelling and grammar and have an excellent eye for detail
· a user-focused and digital-first thinker: you love the power of digital platforms and are excited by the way they can work together to help us achieve our goals
· a brand custodian: you’ll ensure all content reflects our brand, standards and guidelines, tone of voice, language and style across all mediums
· proactive: you’re an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter with a can-do approach; although you thrive in a team environment, you work independently when needed; with your great time-management skills, you can plan and juggle to ensure everything runs smoothly
