Golden Horse Minerals is an ASX-listed exploration & development company focused on unlocking the potential of its gold projects in the highly prospective Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. With multiple active exploration sites and a pipeline of exciting drilling programs underway, we’re looking for a Senior Field Assistant to join our dynamic and experienced team.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, motivated and safety-focused Senior Field Assistant to support and lead field-based activities across our exploration projects. The role is predominantly field focused out of Southern Cross, complemented by periodic office work at our Perth office.

Key Responsibilities

Operations: Overseeing drill core processing (RC, diamond, etc.), including cutting, orientation and RQD measurements.

Sampling: Collecting and managing samples (rock, soil, water), ensuring procedural adherence and sample dispatch process is timely.

Leadership: Supervising and training field assistants, managing workloads, and prioritising tasks.

Quality Control: Maintaining high standards for sample collection, processing and data entry.

Logistics: Managing consumables, equipment, and sample dispatch.

Data Management: Recording and processing exploration data.

Site Preparation and Rehabilitation: Coordinating and supervising drill site setup and rehabilitation.

Collaboration: Working closely with geologists, exploration staff and consultants.

About You

Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a similar field assistant role, preferably in gold exploration.

Strong understanding of remote field logistics and sampling techniques

Ability to work independently and lead by example in field environments

Sound communication and problem-solving skills

Current manual C-class driver’s licence (HR or 4WD cert highly regarded)

A current and valid forklift licence (LF class)

Senior First Aid and other relevant tickets preferred

Willingness to work on a roster in remote WA locations
