Community Wellbeing Events Coordinator wanted!

Are you passionate about creating vibrant, inclusive events that bring people together and make a lasting impact on community wellbeing? The City of Tea Tree Gully is looking for a dynamic Community Wellbeing Events Coordinator to join our Community Wellbeing team.

You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, coordinating and delivering a wide range of engaging community events across our city — from community markets to smaller connection-based initiatives — all with the aim of strengthening social connections and enhancing community wellbeing.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate and deliver a diverse program of community events aligned with Council’s strategic goals.

Build strong relationships with community groups, local businesses and internal teams to create collaborative, impactful events.

Seek out and apply for relevant grants to expand event offerings and reach.

Lead and support volunteers involved in event delivery.

Oversee event logistics, budgets and resources — from concept through to delivery and evaluation.

Promote events through creative marketing and communication initiatives.

Use feedback, data and community insights to shape meaningful improvements in our event delivery.

What You’ll Bring

A customer-first mindset and a passion for community connection.

Experience in planning and delivering community-focused events (big and small).

Strong project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

A knack for juggling multiple priorities while staying calm under pressure.

Innovative thinking and a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience working with volunteers and community partners.

Relevant qualifications in event management, community development or similar — or extensive industry experience.

Current Working With Children's Check.

Current Class C Driver's Licence.

Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
