About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our team. Key duties will include:

• Operating commercial sewing machines to sew sheer and blackout drapery fabrics.
  
• Sewing side hems, base hems, pleating curtains, sewing tape along the top.
  
• Creating soft furnishing items such as cushions, bed valances, and quilted bedspreads.
  
• Working to high-quality standards within required timeframes.
  
• Following designs, styles, and patterns as per company specifications.
  

Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Has previous experience as a sewing machinist (essential).
  
• Is proficient and confident in using industrial sewing machines.
  
• Can perform straight stitch, over-locking, and cover stitching, including work with stretch fabrics.
  
• Understands measurements and can follow instructions and patterns.
  
• Can work effectively with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
  
• Holds Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or has full and unrestricted working rights.
