ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will form a key part of the CWC team through:

Management of projects and leadership of technical project teams

Developing technical Engineering solutions and completing peer reviews

Contributing to business development including internal processes, project pipeline development and new client acquisition

Noting this is a broad role, we will tailor the position description, core responsibilities and remuneration in accordance with the experience the right candidate brings to the company.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with 8+ years of experience who has demonstrated strong technical engineering and leadership proficiency within their previous roles. We are seeking a candidate that can work and think independently to make decisions in the best interest of CWC and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of projects in a Project Manager or Project Director role. This will typically involve:

The management of technical engineering staff

Providing engineering input and review/approval of deliverables

Managing project budgets and program

Undertaking client liaison

In addition to their input on engineering projects, the successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the company through:

Strengthening existing client relationships and building relationships with new clients

Development and submission of proposals

Training and mentoring junior staff

Input into our continual development of internal processes

The right candidate will fit with the culture and values of the business and contribute to the open and collaborative environment at CWC. This will be a predominantly work from home role (office space available in Port Macquarie) and as such being a clear and engaging communicator is key.

The candidate will be required demonstrate that they can work efficiently in a work from home environment as well as live in the Hunter or Mid North Coast to ensure site visits and Client interactions can occur with minimal disruption.

Mandatory Requirements:

Ability to work efficiently and effectively from home

Have a degree in Civil Engineering with min 8 years experience in design of civil infrastructure in Australia (preferably NSW)

Live (or willing to live) in the Hunter or Mid North Coast areas

Have a current Class C Drivers License

Favourable Requirements

Strong network within the civil engineering industry

Client Side (Local or State Government) experience

Demonstrated delivery of designs for TfNSW clients

Experience in larger engineering design firms

Competent use of 12d and AutoCad (or other engineering) software

Demonstrated Leadership acumen
