About the Company

Safety Direct Solutions Pty Ltd (SDS) is a registered Training Organisation (RTO #51632) who through the Operations Division, employs Emergency Response, Emergency Service Officers as well as Paramedics to provide services on our client’s onshore mining and offshore Oil & Gas sites across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients depend on our team to prepare, respond to and effectively manage any emergency situation.

The Position

Safety Direct Solutions is seeking experienced and motivated Payroll Officer to join our team in Balcatta, WA.

Key Responsibilities

Processing fortnightly payroll accurately and on time.

Assist with end of month processing including payment of PAYG withholding tax, Superannuation, and third-party deductions.

Continual improvements in payroll processes and efficiency of systems.

Maintenance of standard operating procedures

Assist in the end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding process.

Maintaining employee records.

Maintaining the HR / Payroll systems databases to ensure data integrity and compliance.

The successful candidate will possess

Proven end to end payroll experience in a medium to large organisation (Desirable, however, training and support provided).

Sound knowledge of relevant employment and statutory legislation.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong team work skills.

Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.

Must be able to work autonomously as well as in a team.

Solutions driven individual; that can show initiative and drive optimism.

Knowledge and application of Employment Hero/Hero Pay (Desirable) or similar Payroll System.
