This Australian-owned, engineering-first manufacturer supplies high-performance thermal and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) solutions across a wide array of industries—from food and beverage processing to aerospace, automotive, plastics, packaging, and advanced manufacturing.

Their product suite includes electric heaters, temperature sensors, and control panels, but also expands into specialised NDT systems used for precise quality control and structural inspection. Whether it’s custom-engineered immersion heaters or infrared systems for crack detection, their technologies support the performance, safety, and compliance of some of the nation’s most advanced production environments.

They're agile, technically savvy, and backed by decades of industry trust. Their client base spans the full spectrum from OEMs and machine builders to maintenance engineers and QA labs.

Why This Role Exists – and Why Now:

Off the back of several consecutive years of growth, the business is expanding its technical sales team to support increasing demand. New product lines, a growing national client base, and deeper involvement in project-based work have created the need for a dedicated Technical Sales Executive to manage existing accounts and drive new business.

You won’t be stepping into a cold patch—you’ll inherit warm clients, strong product support, and the backing of a highly respected brand in the thermal solutions space.

You’ll be responsible for:

Selling a wide range of engineered heating products and NDT inspection technologies—including air and cartridge heaters, RTDs, thermocouples, and advanced infrared inspection systems

Consulting with engineers, quality managers, and maintenance teams to scope and quote customised technical solutions

Identifying new business opportunities across manufacturing, aerospace, energy, and process sectors

Maintaining strong after-sales support and technical follow-up

Travel throughout VIC to maintain strong client relationships and provide technical support

What’s on Offer:

Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 + Super

Commissions: Earn 20% above base on performance (OTE $144,000 – $168,000+)

Company Car or Car Allowance

Full product training & ongoing support

What You’ll Bring:

I'm looking for someone who can hold their own in a conversation with a plant engineer, understand the technical nuances of heating or NDT systems, and still close a deal with confidence.

Experience in technical or equipment sales across industrial, electrical, mechanical, or related sectors

Knowledge of or strong interest in NDT technologies (ultrasonic, eddy current, infrared) is a plus, but not essential

Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and tailor solutions to client needs

Commercially minded, proactive, and confident managing your own territory and pipeline

Backgrounds in instrumentation, automation, quality assurance, inspection, or component sales highly valued — but if you’ve sold equipment into similar industrial or manufacturing markets, I want to hear from you
