The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 717,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The Technology Services Division has an APS6 vacancy within the Agency ICT Services Branch.
The Agency ICT Services Branch supports all ICT systems and infrastructure including the primary business applications such as SAP CRM and Salesforce CRM.

The Corporate Applications Directorate is a brilliant team to work in. We play a critical role in the Agencies success, ensuring that several platforms and apps are maintained and secure. Our responsibilities span enterprise grade contact centre solutions, ITSM tooling, SMS products, Board Paper Management apps, Form and survey capabilities and much more. There is a strong focus on delivering value and innovation to our stakeholders, by extension ensuring the scheme participants are at the centre of our decisions. APS6 Team Leader Enterprise Application Management

As the Team Leader Enterprise Application Management your duties will include:

  • End to end ownership of corporate applications (majority SaaS), ensuring application availability, users are supported, documentation is current and we’re leveraging all value creation opportunities.
  • Configuring new and existing applications to use Single Sign on (SSO) and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM).
  • Integrate new and existing applications with databases, platforms and other applications.
  • Responding to major incidents relating to corporate applications, troubleshooting, implementation of fixes, contributing to tech bridges with vendors.
  • Adhering to ITIL practices such as change management and problem management.
  • Provide knowledge and advice across technical forums, developing and owning documentation.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong background in maintaining and Azure enterprise applications within a zero-trust environment.
  • Strong experience in configurating applications to use modern authentication systems including Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Strong experience managing the day-to-day administration of various corporate applications, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability. This includes but is not limited to user management, configuration changes, and performing system updates.
  • Demonstrated experience administering remotely hosted SAAS applications
  • Experience integrating diverse systems using APIs, web services, middleware, or custom code.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for application configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in the support of junior team members.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Experience managing the daily operations of an ICT team, including agile sprint planning and running ceremonies.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt unfamiliar software through documentation and self-learning.

While this role is ideally performed from Deakin - ACT, Surry Hills - NSW, Geelong - VIC, Brisbane - QLD, Richmond - VICremote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
